Billy Joel - 52nd Street

from $99.00
sale

52nd Street is the 6th studio album by Billy Joel and was released on October 11, 1978. The album won 2 Grammy awards, including Album of the Year, and includes the classic songs, “Honesty”, “My Life” and “Big Shot”. It was also one of the first records ever released on compact disc. The album cover was taken by Jim Houghton and features Joel leaning against a wall on 52nd street east of Seventh Avenue in NYC. He is holding a trumpet, even though he did not play trumpet on the recording, because he wanted to be holding an instrument and clearly, a piano was not going to work. This is a very good example of an original pressing.
