Released on November 28, 1978 and recorded live at the Universal Amphitheatre in LA, Briefcase Full of Blues is the debut album by The Blues Brothers. The Blues Brothers was originally a Saturday Night Live skit with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi and grew from there, with Aykroyd and Belushi as Elwood Blues and “Joliet” Jake Blues, respectively. This particular album was recorded from a live show as The Blues Brothers opened for Steve Martin. It is among the best-selling blues albums of all time and the cover was shot by David Alexander.
